काठमाडौं । नेपाली युवा उद्यमी मञ्च (एनवाईईएफ) ले आयोजना गरेको काठमाडौँ च्याप्टरको स्टार्टअप अवार्ड २०२१ को उपाधि ‘डक्टर्स अन कल नेपाल’ले जितेको छ । सो प्रतिस्पर्धामा ‘डक्टर्स अन कल नेपाल’ प्रथम, ‘अर्बन नेपाल’ दोस्रो र ‘अन्सु टेक्नोलोजी’ तेस्रो भएका छन् ।
पुरस्कार स्वरुप विजेता कम्पनी डक्टर्स अन कल नेपालले नगद १ लाख ५० हजार रुपैयाँ, दोस्रो हुने अर्बन नेपालले ७५ हजार र तेस्रो हुने अन्सु टेक्नोलोजीले ५० हजार रुपैयाँ प्राप्त गरेका छन् । उक्त कार्यक्रममा देशभरबाट एक सय बढी कम्पनी सहभागी भएका थिए ।

Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) is an apex body of young entrepreneurs in Nepal. It is a membership based non-profit organization, established with a vision of empowering positive business thinking. The forum was officially instituted by FNCCI on September 26, 2003. NYEF Kathmandu Chapter was formed in 2016 and has been actively doing events like Impact Talk, Mentorship week, Masterclass and other social events to enhance the entrepreneurial business ecosystem in Kathmandu.
NYEF Start-up Awards is a premier competition organized by NYEF Kathmandu Chapter and Bootcamp for enthusiastic and driven entrepreneurs who aim to nurture their startup into a scalable businesses. The event sponsored by Sagarmatha Insurance as the title sponsor and co-sponsored by Siddhartha Bank. It was held on 17 September 2021 at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu. The main aim of this event was to develop a business ecosystem in Nepal through exposure, mentorship, and investment for startups. The top 7 teams who reached the finals of the NYEF Startup Awards were Ansu Technology, Doctors On Call, Educase, Kashyapi Nepal, MCQ Hall, Urbans Nepal, and VoxCrow.
There were 3 Award categories, Winner, Runner up and People’s Choice Award. The winner of the NYEF Start-up Awards were Doctors on call, a team of doctors with their vision in the tele-health sector. With Doctors on call health services would be easily accessible and affordable. People would have access health services at their homes itself. One of their main focus was to provide health services to people with chronic diseases. The 1st runner-up was Urbans Nepal, the first professional home service providing platform. Through their app customers could have access to plumbers, carpenters, salons, electricians with the Urbans Nepal app. The People’s Choice Award went to Ansu Technology whose aim was to create experience-based learning through Augmented Reality. Through this, children could have experiential learning while having fun, through games and animations.
The event had been focused to enhance the presence of start-ups and entrepreneurship in Nepal. NYEF Startup Awards is looking to tap into the growing entrepreneurship and start-ups scenario of the country by mentoring, promoting and uplifting young entrepreneurs and start-ups grow and develop the spirit of entrepreneurship in Nepal.
